Eerie lights swish through the night
In the house awash with rain,
The radio’s Miss Fair’n’Bright
All amiss croons, near aswoon,
Of fairies in the moon,
Indeed the stream’s opened, hark!,
Or was it just fog in the dark?
Still I feel that they should be here,
As [a] seven days’ silence I hear
I just feel [that] they must be here.
Who else would fly the lightning-speed steeds,
Draw circles in mid-summer meads
Amiss, the miss was off mark,
Lights flicker in the moon
Indeed the stream’s opened, hark!,
For some one’s passed by in the dark
And I just know they must be near,
Fairies and lights ring in my ear
And I know that they should be here.
Oh I just know they must be here,
When [the] daybreak draws near
And night skies grow pale
Harebells hear up hill, down dale.
And I’ll know it’s here and they’re near,
And I’ll know it’s here and they’re near,
And I’ll know it’s here and they’re near,
And I’ll know that they are here.
