Song-writer, singer, and film director, Vladimír Merta has almost 900 songs to his credit, as well as film scores and poetry set to musit. He has long been inspired by medieval, renaissance and folk music. Work with the Mishpaha ensemble, which is reviving the traditions of Chassídic music, brought him together with Jana Lewitová.
